    Macroseismic manifestations
According to ITAR-TASS 297 persons were killed. The worst affected towns were located in the highlands - Amatrice, Pescara del Tronto, Akkumuli. The city center was completely destroyed in Amatrice. It was reported about the damage to buildings, roads and bridges (Fig. 4). Shocks were felt in Rome, Perugia, Rieti, Norcia, Florence and Bologna. Fig. 5 was obtained from USGS NEIC , it presents USGS Community Internet Intensity Map based on 754 responses in 258 cities.

    Historical records
Epicenter of this earthquake was located 28 km N-N-W of destructive earthquake of April 6, 2009 М=6.4. On that day 295 persons were killed and 1000 suffered in Aquila town, nearly 50 persents of buildings were destroyed or damaged.
Focal mechanism and seismic moment of the earthquake
Focal mechanism solution of this earthquake is presented at figure 6 in stereographic projection of the lower hemisphere, elements of this mechanism are given in Table 2. Solutions were obtained in USGS NEIC with W-phase Moment Tensor (Mww) technique. This earthquake has occurred under the action of tensile stresses oriented south-west. Both nodal planes stike along meridian, both of them are dipping under the same angle (DP=43-48º). The motion in origin is characterized as fault with left latteral slip for NP1 and right latteral slip for NP2. According to USGS NEIC – Мо=2.45*10**18N*m, Mw=6.2.
