Information message about the tangible earthquake in Ukraine on August 7, 2016 |
| The tangible earthquake М=4.8 has occurred on August 7, 2016 at 08:15 GMT (11:15 Moscow time) in Ukraine. |
| Parameters of the earthquake
have been determined in the Alert Service (AS) of Information
Processing Center (IPC) of Geophysical Survey of RAS in Obninsk with station data
obtained from digital and analog seismic stations of Russia, countries of CIS
and from abroad. Alert message on this earthquake has been delivered in 11 min after
registration to the Ministry of Emergency of the Russian Federation (EMERCOM). |
| Overall processing has been done according to 49 stations. |
| Fig. 1 presents fragments of records obtained from digital stations Anapa (∆ 2.4º), Guzeripl (∆ 3.7º), Krasnaya Polyana (∆ 4º), Vesyoloye (∆ 4.1º), Kislovodsk (∆ 4.8º). Fig. 2 presents fragments of records obtained from digital stations Khabaz (∆ 5.1º), Malin Array Point (∆ 6.5º), Vedeno (∆ 7.4º), Obninsk (∆ 8º), Belogornoye (∆ 8.4º). |

| Fig. 3 presents with red star the epicenter of this earthquake, its origin was located in Ukraine, at a depth of 10 km, 6 km N-W of Mariupol, Ukraine, 71 km N-E of Berdyansk, Ukraine, 78 km N-W of Yeisk, Russia, and 104 km W of Taganrog, Russia.

| According to RIA Novosti Ukraine this earthquake was felt in Mariupol, Zaporozhye, Dnieper, Berdyansk, Tokmak, Chernigovka, Pologi and Urzuf.
According to GS RAS this earthquake was felt in Yeysk, Taganrog, Dolzhanskaya with intensity 3 MSK, in Rostov, Azov, Bataisk with intensity 2-3 MSK.
