Information message about the strong earthquake near east coast of Kamchatka, January 30, 2016

The strong earthquake M=6.6 has occurred on January 30, 2016 at 03:25 GMT (06:25 Moscow time) near east coast of Kamchatka.
Parameters of the earthquake have been determined in the Alert Service (AS) of Information Processing Center (IPC) of Geophysical Survey of RAS in Obninsk with station data obtained from digital and analog seismic stations of Russia, countries of CIS and from abroad. Alert message on this earthquake has been delivered in 9 min after registration to the Ministry of Emergency of the Russian Federation (EMERCOM).
Preliminary processing has been done with data from 71 stations, accurate processing - with data 80 stations.
     Fig. 1 presents fragments of records obtained from digital stations Petropavlovsk (∆ 1º), Severo-Kurilsk (∆ 3.6º), Magadan (∆ 7.1º), Seimchan (∆ 9.5º), Kurilsk (∆ 11.1º). Fig. 2 presents fragments of records obtained from digital stations Bilibino (∆ 14.6º), Ussuriisk Group (∆ 40.5º), Tiksi (∆ 21.9º), Norilsk (∆ 34.7º), Zalesovo Group (∆ 41.5º).

    Macroseismic manifestations
According to GS RAS this earthquake was felt in lighthouses Krugly and Vodopadny with intensity 5-6, in Petropavlovsk with intensity 4-5 and Severo-Kurilsk with intensity 3-4 MSK. Information on individual responses is collected in the new section of the site, "You feel the earthquake? Tell us about it" (DyfitWeb).
    Historical records
The earthquake M=7.3 has occurred on November 24, 1971 120 km S-S-E at the depth of 125 km, the earthquake M=6 has occurred on October 2, 2014 180 km S-W at the depth of 150 km.
Focal mechanism and seismic moment of the earthquake
Focal mechanism solution of this earthquake in stereograhpic projection at the lower hemisphere is presented at fig. 4, 5, it was obtained in USGS NEIC with W-phase Moment Tensor (Mww) technique and in Quick CMT Catalog Center, USA with CMT technique. Both solutions obtained in various centers are close. This earhtquake has occurred under prevailing action of tensile stresses oriented to th south, compression stresses oriented to the nothe-west. Nodal plane NP1 in all solutions is nearly vertical (DP=72º), its strikes to the east (STK=76-79º), nodal plane NP2 is more flat (DP=35-40º), it strikes north-west (STK=322-324º). The type of motion for steeply dipping plane NP1 – normal fault with left latteral slip component, for NP2 – left latteral slip with normal fault component. According to USGS NEIC – Mo=8.35*10**19 N*m, Mw=7.2; according to СМТ – Mo=8.49*10**19 N*m, Mw=7.2.
