    Macroseismic manifestations
In accordance with ITAR TASS agency after the earthquake 28.10.2008 it was killed at least 150 people, nearly one thousand were injured. More than 15000 people became homeless and left the area of catastrophe in panics. Fig. 4 downloaded from NEIC USA presents the map of instrumental intensity.

    Figure 4
Focal mechanism and seismic moment of the earthquake
Focal mechanism solutions of the origin 28.10.2008 were obtained with TMC techniques in NEIC USA, USGS and HRVD (Global CMT Catalog) and are presented in table 2 and shown on fig. 5,6. In both solutions this earthquake has happened under the action of the close in value compression and expansion strengths. In accordance with USGS the type of motion along both steeply falling planes – slide with thrust components: right side slide motion along NP1 having N-W direction of propagation and left side – along NP2 with N-E direction of propagation. The axis of expansion oriented to the N-E, the axis of compression – to the south. In accordance with HRVD the type of motion along both steeply falling planes also is characterized by the slide motion, but with uplift components: right side slide along NP1 of N-W direction of propagation and left side – along NP2 with N-E direction of propagation. Axis of expansion was oriented to the West, axis of compression – to the South. Averaged value of seismic moment Мо of the earthquake 28.10.2008 obtained in IPC GS RAS from Р-wave spectra at two stations: Obninsk (Δ 32.8º) and Yakutsk (Δ 50.4º) made Мо=4.45* 10** 18 n*m, the value of moment magnitude calculated from Kanamori formula Mw=6.4; Averaged seismic moment Мо of the earthquake 28.10.2008 in accordance with USGS makes 4.8* 10** 18 n*m, the value of moment magnitude Mw=6.4; in accordance with HRVD Мо=4.78* 10** 18 n*m, Mw=6.4.
